Looking to get rid of those clothing items and shoes that the kids have outgrown. Done some refurbishing of your home and have some drapery and fabric that you no longer need. Park Manor has a solution for you. The We In Action team in collaboration with our Student Council will be collecting used items from Friday, September 16 to Monday, September 26. All items collected will then be weighed. Place all donated items in a plastic bag and ensure the top is securely tied. Items you could donate could include; used clothing, shoes (laces tied together), stuffed animals, drapery, fabric, blankets, belts and handbags. For each ton collected, Bag2School will donate $200. We would like to donate the funds to the East African Famine Relief Fund. Should you prefer to make a monetary donation, make your cheque payable to the ‘Mennonite Central Committee – East Africa’ or to the ‘Canadian Red Cross – East Africa’.
