Dear Parents and Guardians;

Welcome back Park Manor!  It has been a pleasure to meet many parents and children over the past week.  I look forward to meeting many more of you over the upcoming weeks.

We are happy to welcome our newest staff members:  Ms. Nelson (our French and French Immersion teacher for the year), Ms. Hamilton (an EA in our congregated class) and Mr. Underwood (in for Mr. Phillips until November).  You may also hear your child talk about “Jenna”.  She is a college cooperative education student from Fanshawe College and will be with us until Christmas.

As you know, our teachers are currently in a legal strike position.  Because of their dedication to the well-being of children they have continued to offer extra-curricular activities and the in-class support that our children need.  This year is unfolding to be a wonderful year of opportunities for everyone.

The current labour situation does impact our upcoming Meet the Teacher Barbeque.  As the purpose of this event is to allow students to introduce their teachers to their families, we will be re-scheduling the event once the teachers are available to participate.

Thank you so much for your support of your children and our staff at Park Manor.  We are excited about the year ahead.
